Purkis, Elsie Mrs. (Marriage - 22 Sept. 1945)

Mrs. Nancy Kops of Unity announces the marriage of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Purkis of Lisle, Ill., and Frank Willmare of Chicago, Illinois which took place Saturday, Sept. 22nd, at the Olivet Lutheran church in Chicago.

Miss Virginia Purkis and Loraine Purkis, daughter and son of the bride, attended the couple. The bride wore a suit of brown wool, with matching accessories, and an orchid corsage. Her attendant, also in brown, wore gardenias.

Mr. and Mrs. Loraine Purkis entertained at a reception following the ceremony at their home in Chicago.

The bride and groom are spending several weeks in Unity with relatives and will return to Chicago to reside, where the bridegroom operates a restaurant. Mrs. Willmare made her home in Unity until about eight years ago, when she moved with her family to Chicago.
